Provocative, historical, and entertaining, David Lee Lindsey's new play, “160 Years of Walking: 1865-2025," offers that and more. Witness the journey of one African American bloodline as its members step forward through time: from enslavement to the promised “freedom” espoused in the Emancipation Proclamation. Lindsey incorporates various theatrical styles such as hip-hop, stream of consciousness as well as traditional methods to bring this family’s unique, yet universal story to life.
